Wolves matchworn shirts

                            Play off final shirt 2003

Sheffield United 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers 3

6 mins - Kennedy, 22 mins - Blake, 45 mins - Miller

A fantastic day still fresh in the memory of every Wolves fan lucky enough to have been there, even more so after the sad passing of Sir Jack Hayward.

The story I was told was Nathan gave the kitman his shirt straight after the game then it was signed by the team, this has been confirmed in writing by both the kitman and Wolves FC who wanted the shirt for display.

I  purchased the shirt in 2012 and my argument at the time was that on the dvd of the game and in all the pictures, he is clearly wearing what looks like a short sleeve shirt.

In January 2015 a good friend of mine was at a function with Nathan and knew all about the shirt and the argument about if it was matchworn and the mystery is solved.

Nathan had two long sleeved shirts for the game but when they went out for the warm up it was roasting so a few of the players had the sleeves turned up inside the shirt then taped.

He also stated that the shirt he wore was squad signed and dedicated to Trevor the kitman, must admit I have never been so happy to be proved wrong !

If this shirt wasn't rare enough, the back makes it even better.

Squad signed by the players on the day
