ROBBIE KEANE - MATCH WORN,UNWASHED
Very rare that a shirt like this comes up for sale, match worn, unwashed, not only from one of the biggest games Wolves have played in the last 30 years but also worn by a football legend & current Irish Captain.
Arsenal v Wolves FA Cup semi-final,Villa Park,5th April 1998.
Robbie came on towards the end of the game with fellow substitute Steve Bull but could not prevent a1-0 defeat . Obtained from a former Villa ball boy and verified by Wolves historians this is a very special addition to the collection.
One of 3 shirts Robbie kindly delivered to my house in January 2013.
Wolves & Northern Ireland legend,Robbie Dennison.Signed from WBA in 1987 for £20,000 he made over 300 appearances for Wolves scoring 49 times including 2 at Wembley. Robbie also played 18 times for Northern Ireland.
STEVE BULL 1996-97
Steve Bull long sleeved full kit 1996-97.
The white numbers were worn for one season only, possibly because the felt numbers turned grey first time they were washed.
Shorts and socks were much better in the old kits featuring embroidered wolfhead and Puma logo on both unlike the replica kits.
Matchworn by Steve Corica and in superb condition, again came with a pair of matchworn player shorts.
JAMIE SMITH MATCHWORN 1996 - 97
Numbers were white in 1996 then changed to black the season after.
Well worn and washed which always resulted in the white numbers staining grey.
Embroidered badge, correct arm patches and number, excellent example of a genuine match worn shirt.
